David Hough Memorial Endowed Award for Excellence

This endowed award was established by alumni, faculty, staff and friends in memory of David Hough, M.D., an esteemed member of the faculty who died in 1996 at the age of 50. This award recognizes an outstanding fourth-year senior student who has successfully matched into a family practice residency program upon graduation. Qualified applicants shall reflect the highest standards of excellence as evidenced by demonstrated clinical competence, sensitivity to the psychosocial aspects of the patient/physician relationship, concern for others, and a commitment to family.
