Peter T. Graham, M.D., CHM 1998, is a native of East Lansing. After earning a Bachelor’s in History from the University of Michigan in 1988, he served as a staffer in the Michigan Governor’s office until 1990, and then as a Congressional staffer until 1992. He graduated from CHM in 1998, and completed the Sparrow/Michigan State University Family Medicine Residency in 2001 (Chief Resident in 2000-2001.) Since then he has practiced with Sparrow Family Medical Services in the DeWitt office; from 2003-2006 he was the Medical Director of the Sparrow Home Care Network, and since 2006 he has served as Medical Director of Physician’s Health Plan of Mid-Michigan.

In addition to serving on the CHM alumni board, he is the Vice-Speaker of the Michigan Academy of Family Practice, and a board member and active committee member since 2002. He serves on the board of Sparrow Physician’s Health Plan, and also volunteers as clinical faculty for the CHM Department of Family Medicine.

Most importantly, he stated he was blessed with his wife Mary and their three children, Sarah (11), Andrew (8), and John (6). They all enjoy time together doing anything, but especially anything involving boats and the water. Despite his East Lansing roots, they are a pretty loyal bunch of Wolverines. He reads about anything printed in English, loves music (especially classical and 70’s funk), and is taking up amateur aviation.
