Block II Objectives

• The student will demonstrate an understanding of these basic science concepts through meaningful participation in the small group, problem-based learning experiences.
• The student will demonstrate an understanding of these basic science concepts through accurate assessments of the clinical problems in the small group, problem-based, learning cases.
• The student will be able to pass a national licensing examination.
• The student will demonstrate the ability to integrate basic and clinical science concepts through active participation in small group, problem-based learning sessions.
• The student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between normal human functioning and normal behavior, psychological, and clinical findings.
• The student will be able to demonstrate how alterations in normal human functioning are associated with alterations in behavioral, psychological, and clinical findings.
• The student will be able to demonstrate an ability to integrate the basic and clinical sciences through accurate assessments of clinical problems in the small group, problem-based, learning cases.
• The student will demonstrate mastery of essential basic and clinical science concepts not reviewed in lecture format.
